Donald Campbell - Record breaker

• Speaker: Phil Holt
  Phil was an air traffic controller for 40 years. He is a flying instructor, a speaker through High Flying talks and his other talks include Concorde, Apollo 13 and the Red  Arrows. He is a regular speaker on P&O cruise ships.
• The talk is normally in two 45 minute slots
• Phil will review the life of Donald Campbell, the only man to hold both the world land and water speed records in the same year.
  Also covered will be a behind the scenes look at that fateful day in January 1967 on Coniston Water, the work to find the cause of the crash and look at the recent recovery and rebuilding of Bluebird and her relaunch, in August 2018 on the Isle of Bute, followed by her recent testing and her future.

Registration is free for GCCC members and £5 for each non-member.

Members can also bring non-member guests but the guests must be paid for in advance by the member and their names given in the 'Information for Organiser' box.

Non-members registering must have a unique email address, register individually and pay in advance of the event by Friday 8th February.
