Note from Trudi
I am sure we are all very excited about our first rally of the 2021 season which is going to Bembridge. Berths have been reserved for two nights but there will be no organised evening meal on either night due to Covid restrictions.
Bembridge have made some changes at the Harbour and have sent some information on how we can help them provide us with the best service and experience possible.
In 2020 they changed the layout of their visitors’ pontoon at the Duver Marina, installing additional finger berths in order to facilitate government regulations on social distancing, together with the introduction of Covid-19 safety measures throughout the Harbour. They therefore no longer support rafting unless specifically requested by consenting owners, in line with the relevant government C19 guidance. GCCC will not be rafting. They have also refurbished their toilet and shower facilities, and plan to open their outdoor licensed facility - Steve’s Bar - in early 2021 (which may or may not be open when we are there)..
This new configuration means that they now have a fixed number of finger berths of varying sizes, catering for a mixture of vessel lengths - as such it is important that online booking reservations are made by individual boat owners as far in advance as possible as well as registering for the rally through the GCCC usual system. Bembridge have issued a rally code GC987 which needs to be used with your online booking. Rally members wanting to arrive earlier or stay longer should book on-line for the whole duration of their required stay, using the Rally Code provided. As long as there is availability, and a valid code entered, the price will include the total price for the duration of the stay, including any applicable discount for the Rally nights only.
The process is simple. Here is the link to their website and relevant pages:

Bembridge have asked that their online booking procedure is addressed by rally skippers asap, as general online bookings are in high demand at these times.

I look forward to seeing you on the rally
