GCCC Boat Jumble
By popular request, this event is a first for GCCC members and is being run not only as a way to find a good home for boat "stuff" you may no longer need - or for you to find good boat "stuff" for yourself - whilst raising vital funds for the RNLI. Sellers will be invited to make a donation to the RNLI after the event based on what they have sold.
If you are interested in having a table to sell your gear at this event please contact Vice Commodore, David Cockburn, or Treasurer, Sarah Cockburn, and they will ensure that enough space is available on the evening.
Other than that, simply turn up, display your goods and be ready to do good business. Sellers are asked to price their goods beforehand - and if necessary haggle with buyers on the night! Anything that is not sold at the end of the evening will be the responsibility of the seller to take home with them :-)
Potential buyers can simply turn up, grab a drink at the bar as well as (hopefully) a good bargain from your fellow club members
Sellers are asked to either make a donation based on what you have sold direct to RNLI or pay the amount into the GCCC bank account and Sarah will make a group payment on behalf of GCCC based on deposits made into our account. Either way please let Sarah know how much money you have donated to the RNLI so that we can see how successful the fundraising has been.
As above, this is a first and we have incorporated this into a regular Tuesday evening club night. If it proves successful we can consider running a larger event next year open to a wider audience - but let's see how we go this year with a club based boat jumble to start with
Absolutely no flares to be brought to the clubhouse
Any queries, do contact David or Sarah
